The Bike Fest’s Goal

We want you to leave Bike Fest a better rider than when you arrived. While also having an epic day out and meeting fellow riders.

We achieve this through promoting tips and tricks from experts and motorsport professionals, rider skill workshops, showcasing full protective gear and teaching riders about the latest technology in bike safety.

You’ll hear from well known, respected personalities and experts and leave feeling empowered with new knowledge to get the most out of your riding.

History

The Shiny Side Up Bike Fest has been an annual event in Kapiti since 2016. Since then, Bike Fest has grown exponentially and takes place in different locations each year, with an accompanying Talk Series. These are usually evening gatherings where the Shiny Side Up Gurus and Personalities share their tips and advice with a wider audience as they travel between the Bike Fest locations. During Covid we also ran an Online event.
